Surrey 40k Tournament: Game 2- White Scars vs Imperial Knights/Adeptus Mechanicus

Game 2 of a recent ITC tournament would see my White Scars take on a mixed force of Imperial Knights and Adeptus Mechanicus. Knights are one of my least favourite factions to play against in the game, but I hadn't yet played them in the ITC format, so would be interested to see what I could do with them.

We were playing ITC mission 2 with Search and Destroy deployment. In this mission, you score a bonus point if you hold the centre objective and your opponent's objective at the end of your turn.

Here is my first 40k tournament battle report form the recent Grand Slam event held at Element Games.

The first game was against Wayne and his mixed Imperial force, featuring a lot of firepower and some hard-hitting combat units. The first mission was a mixture of The Scouring Eternal War and Tactical Gambit for the maelstrom of war, using Spearhead Assault deployment.

My army consisted of:
Battalion Detachment (Dark Angels)
Azrael (Az)

Battle Report 164- 2000 pts Genestealer Cults vs Adeptus Mechanicus/Space Wolves

This week's battle report sees my Genestealer Cults take on the Adeptus Mechanicus and Space Wolves in a maelstrom of war mission. We were playing the Kill Confirmed mission, which is the one with three cards per turn and kill points in addition.

My army consisted of:
Battalion Detachment
Patriarch- Monstrous Rending Claws, Mass Hypnosis(Pt)
Primus- Needle Pistol, Bonesword (P1)
10 Acolyte Hybrids- 2 Heavy Rock Saws (A1)
10 Acolyte Hybrids- 2 Heavy Rock Cutters (A2)
10 Acolyte Hybrids- 2 Heavy Rock Drills (A3)
6 Acolyte Hybrids (A4)
15 Purestrain Genestealers (G)
5 Aberrants- Power Hammers (Ab)

Battalion Detachment
Primus- Needle Pistol, Bonesword (P2)
Magus- Force Stave, Might From Beyond (M1)
10 Neophyte Hybrids- Autoguns, Heavy Stubber (N1)
10 Neophyte Hybrids- Autoguns, Mining Laser (N2)
5 Acolyte Hybrids (A5)
Leman Russ- Battle Cannon, 3 Heavy Bolters (LR)
Goliath Truck- Twin Autocannon, Heavy Stubber (GT)

Outrider Detachment
Magus- Force Stave, Mind Control (M2)
Scout Sentinel- Heavy Flamer (S1)
Scout Sentinel- Missile Launcher (S2)
Scout Sentinel- Autocannon (S3)

I took a good mix of units in my army. The Patriarch was selected to lead the army, as a strong fighter and good support. I took two Primus units to lead in my heavy hitters, the Genestealers and Aberrants. These should hopefully allow the two units to charge from reserve.

I took the Leman Russ and Neophytes to hold my backline, while the Sentinels could scout ahead to harass the enemy army or block enemy deep strikers. I took a strong force of Acolyte Hybrids. The two small units could be used to block out my backfield and give me enough power level to put my strong units in reserve.

Warhammer World GT: Game 1- Deathwatch/Astra Militarum vs Astra Militarum/Adeptus Mechanicus/Imperial Knights

Welcome to the first battle report from my recent trip to the Warhammer World Grand Tournament (Heat 1). I was taking a mixed Deathwatch and Astra Militarum list. You can find the army list and my thoughts on it in a previous post

The tournament consisted of 5 Eternal War missions from Chapter Approved 2018, straight out of the rulebook.

The first mission of the day saw me square off against Rob and his mixed force of Astra Militarum, Adeptus Mechanicus and Imperial Knights. Rob runs the Honest Wargamer, so check it out. For game 1, the randomly determined mission was Dominate and Destroy. In this mission, you get one victory point for each objective you hold at the end of your turn, as well as a victory point for each enemy unit destroyed.

My army consisted of:
Battalion Detachment (Deathwatch)
Watch Master- Guardian Spear (WM)
Watch Captain- Jump Pack, Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield (WC)
Kill Team 1: Watch Sergeant and 9 Veterans- 10 Storm Bolters, 2 Storm Shields, 8 Chainswords (KT1)
Kill Team 2: Intercessor Sergeant and 9 Intercessors- Bolt Rifles, Bolt Pistols, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher (KT2)
Kill Team 3: Watch Sergeant and 4 Veterans- 2 Frag Cannons, Storm Shield, 3 Shotguns, 2 Chainswords (KT3). 5 Vanguard Veterans- 4 Bolt Pistols, 3 Chainswords, Storm Shield, Pair of Lightning Claws (VV)

Battle Report 135- 2000 pts White Scars vs Adeptus Mechanicus

This week's battle report sees my White Scars tournament army take on Stu's Adeptus Mechanicus army in the Targets of Opportunity Maelstrom of war mission.

I was continuing my practice with my new White Scars tournament list. After last week's crushing defeat to the Daemons, I was hoping to put some of those lessons into practice in this game. As a reminder, you can follow me on facebook @standwargaming for regular updates and chats.

My army consisted of:
Brigade Detachment
Captain on Bike- Thunder Hammer, The Shield Eternal, Twin Boltgun, Iron Resolve Warlord Trait (C1)
Captain with Jump Pack- Lightning Claw, Combi-Melta (C2)
Librarian with Jump Pack- Force Stave, Boltgun, Null Zone, Psychic Fortress (L2)
Lieutenant with Jump Pack- Power Axe, Master-Crafted Boltgun, Bolt Pistol (L1)
5 Scouts- Boltguns (S1)
5 Scouts- Boltguns, Sergeant has Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife (S2)
5 Scouts- Bolt Pistols and Combat Knives (S3)
5 Tactical Marines- Bolters, Heavy Bolter (TS1)
5 Tactical Marines- Bolters, Heavy Bolter (TS2)
5 Tactical Marines- Bolters, Missile Launcher (TS3)
Company Ancient- Standard of the Emperor Ascendant, Chainsword (A)
5 Vanguard Veterans- Jump Packs, 5 Pairs of Lightning Claws (VV1)
5 Vanguard Veterans- Jump Packs, 2 Chainswords each (VV2)
5 Assault Marines- Jump Packs, 2 Plasma Pistols, Bolt Pistols, Chainswords, Sergeant with Plasma Pistol (AS1)
5 Assault Marines- Jump Packs, 2 Plasma Pistols, Bolt Pistols, Chainswords, Sergeant with Power Fist and Meltabombs (AS2)
5 Assault Marines- Jump Packs, 2 Plasma Pistols, Bolt Pistols, Chainswords, Sergeant with Power Sword (AS3)
6 Scout Bikers- Twin Boltguns, Astartes Shotguns, Combat Knives (SB)
Thunderfire Cannon. Techmarine Gunner (T) with 2 Servo-arms, Plasma Cutter, Flamer, Bolt Pistol (TC)
5 Devastator Marines- 2 Heavy Bolters, Plasma Cannon, Bolters (D1)
5 Devastator Marines- 3 Missile Launchers, Bolters (D2)

The army has a lot of fast moving and reserves elements, as well as a solid firebase to trouble the Mechanicus forces. The Librarian's psychic powers were not optimal for this opponent, but those were the powers I was taking to cover a range of opponents, so decided to keep them to see how I would fare.

Club Search- Oxford Gaming Club (plus Game Summary)

Having taken a short break from gaming to settle in after my move to Oxfordshire, I was keen to find a local club to get back into some great 8th edition action. I found Oxford Gaming Club online and went along last Monday night to try out the new club.

I was able to arrange a game against Stu and his Mechanicus army on the club forum. This was fortunate, as I have been burned a few times just showing up to a new club and not getting a game in. The club meets on a Monday night from 7-10 pm. I prefer a 4 hour club night, but 3 hours is still a decent time for getting a game in (plus writing notes for a battle report).

The club members were really friendly and inviting, and it was a good atmosphere. They had some gaming mats to play on and a lot of terrain to fill our table and give my White Scars some good cover from the Mechanicus guns.

I didn't take full notes for a battle report, but took some photos and a few notes to share with you.
I tried something different with the army this time, going for a more mechanised force and using some units I hadn't tried in 8th edition yet.

My army consisted of:
Battalion Detachment
Captain- Relic Blade, Master-crafted Boltgun, The Armour Indomitus
Lieutenant- Chainsword, Master-crafted Boltgun
10 Tactical Marines- Meltagun
Rhino- Two Storm Bolters
8 Tactical Marines- Flamer
Rhino- Two Storm Bolters
5 Devastators- 4 Grav Cannons
Razorback- TL Assault Cannon, Storm Bolter
10 Sternguard Veterans
Land Raider Crusader- TL Assault Cannon, Two Hurricane Bolters
10 Vanguard Veterans- 3 Pairs Lightning Claws, Bolt Pistols and Chainswords
6 Scout Bikers- TL Bolters, Shotguns, Chainswords
Stormraven Gunship- TL Assault Cannon, Twin Heavy Bolter, Two Hurricane Bolters, Two Stormstrike Missiles
The Captain was my warlord and took Tenacious Survivor. I decided to give the Stormraven and Land Raider a go in 8th edition. I haven't used these yet, but they looked tough with a lot of firepower. I also decided to give the Grav Cannon Devastators a go. These were a brilliant unit in 7th edition and was interested to see how they performed in 8th edition.

Battle Report 94- 1850 pts Deathwatch vs Adeptus Mechanicus/Skitarii

This week's battle report sees my Deathwatch army take on Harry (AKA the Dark Artisan) and his Adeptus Mechanicus and Skitarii force.

This game was being filmed for his awesome Youtube channel, so was played on a fantastic board full of terrain against a great looking army. I think this is pretty neat, as you will get both the video battle report and written battle report to check out, as well as the perspective of both players on how the game went.

My army consisted of:
Combined Arms Detachment
Watch Captain Artemis (with V5)
Librarian- Mastery Level 2, Meltabombs (with V5)
10 Veterans- 4 Frag Cannons, Storm Shield, Auspex (V1 and V2)
Drop Pod (DP1)
10 Veterans- 2 Infernus Heavy Bolters (V3 and V4)
Rhino (R)
8 Veterans- 3 Deathwatch Shotguns, 2 Heavy Thunder Hammers, 2 Storm Shields (V5)
Drop Pod (DP2)
5 Veterans- 5 Stalker Pattern Boltguns (V6)
4 Bikers- 3 Power Swords, Power Axe, Meltabombs (B1)
4 Bikers- 3 Power Swords, Power Maul, Meltabombs (B2)
5 Vanguard Veterans- 3 pairs of Lightning Claws, 2 Heavy Thunder Hammers (VV)

My warlord was Artemis, his Warlord Trait allowing me to change Mission Tactics an additional time. My Librarian rolled on Biomancy and got Smite, Enfeeble and Warp Speed.

For my army, I stuck with a CAD. I was hoping to use the Blackspear Strike Force, but didn't have time to get my Corvus Blackstar painted to use it. Anyway, in most missions, a CAD is a solid choice thanks to Objective Secured.

I took Artemis to lead the force once again, hoping to use his Stasis Bomb to good effect. I backed him up with a Librarian using Biomancy. I was hoping to get Endurance to boost my durability, but ended up with Enfeeble and Warp Speed instead. Smite is a pretty good Primaris for me, as my army lacks a lot of AP2 shooting.
Both characters would join a unit of combat Veterans in a Drop Pod. I took three shotguns, two Heavy Thunder Hammers and a couple of Storm Shields for some added protection. I didn't really rate the Deathwatch Shotguns when I first reviewed the codex, but after using them for a few games, I have turned around on them. Even though the template mode is only S3, the number of hits you can normally get more than makes up for this in most games.

I took a unit of Veterans with 4 Frag Cannons in a Drop Pod. I decided to combat squad these and put two cannons in each unit, allowing me to go after 2 different targets. One squad would take the Storm Shield and Auspex (I would normally put them both on the squad Sergeant, but the recent FAQ put an end to that).
I then took a unit of Veteran with Stalker Boltguns and a unit with Infernus Heavy Bolters in a Rhino. The Stalker unit could hold a backfield objective, while the Rhino would give me more mobility to go after objectives.

To round off the list, I took my standard two units of 4 Bikers (power weapons and Meltabombs) and a unit of Vanguard Veterans armed for combat.

Fall of Cadia Review: Part 2- Belisarius Cawl

Part 2 of my Fall of Cadia review will take a look at the second character of the Triumvirate, Belisarius Cawl.
Belisarius Cawl
Cawl is the Archmagos Dominus of the Mechanicus. As such, he can be taken in any existing Cult Mechanicus formation, replacing the Techpriest Dominus. Alternatively, he can be taken as an HQ choice in any Army of the Imperium.

Cawl is a character that seems designed for vehicles- boosting the vehicles in your own army and damaging enemy vehicles. He is also a quite a durable character and has some useful wargear for taking on larger horde units in combat.

In terms of durability, Cawl has toughness 6 and 5 wounds. In addition, he has Feel no Pain and gets to re-roll failed Feel No Pain rolls, giving him roughly a 50% chance of passing the roll. On top of that, he gets to recover D3 wounds at the start of each of your turns. This combines to make him pretty tough to kill against a range of weapons. Grav will still give him problems with is 2+ save and he only has a 5+ invulerable save. Another downside is that he does not have Eternal Warrior. Thanks to his toughness of 6, only Instant Death or a 6 on the D table are going to cause him issues with this though.

Hero for a Day: Game 3- White Scars/Mechanicus vs Daemons

Game 3 of Hero for a Day was the first doubles match of the day and saw my White Scars paired up with Martin and his Mechanicus, going up against Tom and MJ who were both playing Daemons.

The mission for game 3 was "After them Lads". This was Hammer and Anvil deployment with four objectives and 800 pts in each army. Two objectives had to be placed in the central third of the board and two in the attacker's third (the Daemons). Each player draws 2 tactical objective cards each turn (up to a maximum of 2). The objectives in the central third could only be scored on turns 1-4 and were worth more points for scoring on the later turns. The objectives in the Attacker's zone could only be scored in turns 3-6 and were worth more points for later turns. In all honesty, I think we forgot about the bonus points for this game and just played them as worth their regular points.

My army consisted of:
Khan- Moondrakkan (with B3)
5 Bikers- Meltabombs, 2 Grav Guns (B1)
5 Bikers- Meltabombs, 2 Grav Guns (B2)
5 Bikers- Meltabombs, 2 Meltaguns (B2)
6 Scout Bikers- Meltabombs, 2 Grenade Launchers (SB)
5 Scouts- Bolters, Meltabombs (S)
Landspeeder Storm (LS)

Khan is my warlord and gave me Scout.

Battle Report 65- 1850 pts White Scars vs Mechanicus/Skitarii

For this week's battle report, my White Scars take on Raymond's Mechanicus and Skitarii in one of the special missions from the Angels of Death supplement.

I've been wanting to try some of the new scenarios from the Angels of Death and Death from the Skies books, and hope to try most of these interesting new scenarios over the next few months. These missions provide some very different ways to play for both armies and should hopefully provide some unusual games.

For my White Scars, this was one of my last games before Caledonian Revolution, so I took a modified version of my army list. My army for the game consisted of:

Scarblade Strike Force
Hunting Force
Khan- Moondrakken (with CS)
Command Squad- Bikes, Apothecary, 4 grav guns, 4 storm shields, Banner of the Eagle (CS)
6 Bikers- 2 grav guns, sergeant with power axe and meltabombs (BS1)
6 Bikers- 2 grav guns, sergeant with meltabombs (BS2)
Attack Bike- Multimelta (AB)
6 Scout Bikers- 2 Grenades launchers, sergeant with meltabombs and homing beacon (SB)

Stormbringer Squadron
5 Scouts- bolt pistols, combat weapons, sergeant with meltabombs (S1)
Landspeeder Storm- Heavy Bolter, Cerberus Launcher (LS1)
Landspeeder- Multimelta, Typhoon Missile Launcher (L)

Combined Arms Detachment
Chaplian- Bike, Hunter's Eye, Meltabombs (with CS or L2)
5 Scouts- Bolters, sergeant with meltabombs (S2)
Landspeeder Storm- Heavy Bolter, Cerberus Launcher (LS2)
3 Bikers- 2 meltaguns, sergeant with meltabombs (BS3)
3 Centurions- Grav cannons and grav amps, hurricane bolters (C)
Drop Pod (DP)
Stormhawk Interceptor- TL assault cannon, Skyhammer missile launcher, Las-talon (SI)

I dropped the Librarian from my last list and added a bike-mounted Chaplain. This would hopefully give the Command Squad a bit more punch in combat and add an additional character with an invulnerable save.
I also added the Banner of the Eagle to the Command Squad to give my White Scars units fleet and furious charge to help them further in combat. I also added a power axe to one of my bike units to add some much needed AP2 in combat.

Finally, I decided to test the Stormhawk Interceptor to see how it performed in this game.

My warlord trait was fixed with Khan, giving me a morale check re-roll bubble (as well as allowing Scout).

Doubles Tournament Game 3- White Scars/Mechanicus vs Space Marines/Chaos Space Marines

Welcome to the final battle report of the Doubles Tournament that Innes and I attended at 6s2Hit in Edinburgh. We had won our first game and lost our second game, so went into the final game hoping for a win to have succeeded in over half our games. Our opponents for the third game were Page and Fowler, commanding an army of Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines (what a heretical alliance!).

I've been asked to try and make the pictures larger for my battle reports, so have tried to do so. What do you think of the new ones? Too big or just the right size now?

As a reminder, our armies were:

Combined Arms Detachment
Kor'sarro Khan- Moondakken (with CS)
Librarian- Mastery level 1, Bike, Meltabombs, Hunter's Eye (with CS or L)
5 Command Squad- 4 Grav guns, Apothecary, Storm Shield (CS)
5 Bikers- 2 Grav guns, sergeant has meltabombs (B1)
5 Bikers- 2 Grav guns, sergeant has meltabombs (B2)
5 Scouts- Bolt pistols, combat weapons, Sergeant has Meltabombs (S)
Landspeeder Storm- Cerberus launcher, Heavy bolter (LS)
Drop Pod- Storm Bolter (DP)
Stormtalon- TL assault cannons, Skyhammer missile launcher (ST)

Dominus Maniple
Tech Priest Dominus- Raiment of the Technomartyr, Volkite Blaster, Macrostubber, Conversion Field (with V)
5 Skitarri Vanguard- 2 Plasma Calivers, Omnispex, Vanguard Alpha with Red Carbine. (V)
2 Onager Dunecrawlers- Neutron Laser and Cognis Heavy Stubber, Cognis Manipulator (D)

Oathsworn Detachment
Mechanicum Cerastus Knight Atropos- Occular Augmetics. (K)

Our supreme warlord was Khan, while in this game Innes' warlord trait gave his warlord haywire. My Librarian got Mental Fortitude and Psychic Shriek.

Doubles Tournament Game 2- White Scars/Mechanicus vs Space Marines/Mechanicus

Game 2 of the 6s2Hit double tournament saw our combined White Scars/Mechanicus army take on a Space Marine/Mechanicus army, with not one, but two Imperial Knights in the force! Our opponents for game 2 were Cameron and Aaron, who had also won their first game.

As a reminder, our armies were:

Combined Arms Detachment
Kor'sarro Khan- Moondakken (with CS)
Librarian- Mastery level 1, Bike, Meltabombs, Hunter's Eye (with CS or L)
5 Command Squad- 4 Grav guns, Apothecary, Storm Shield (CS)

Oathsworn Detachment
Mechanicum Cerastus Knight Atropos- Occular Augmetics. (K)

Our supreme warlord was Khan, while in this game Innes' warlord trait allowed him to choose the mysterious objective when it was revealed. My Librarian got Dominate and Psychic Shriek.

Doubles Tournament Game 1- White Scars/Mechanicus vs Dark Eldar/Tau

Welcome to my first battle report from a recent doubles tournament held at 6s2Hit in Edinburgh. Innes and I travelled through on a rather cold and windy Sunday morning with our armies to see how we would fare against the competition.

I had never been to the store before, but really enjoyed the experience. One half of the store has six 6x4 gaming tables, the other half has the café area where you can get hot food and drinks (I had an awesome coronation chicken Panini and chocolate brownie for lunch). They also have display cases with painted armies and the retail area, where you can pick stuff up for a variety of different game systems. They also had an awesome display on one of the walls with a bunch of different boxed sets from various editions of 40k and fantasy, as well as some other games. It was a really nice store, I will be keeping an eye out for any more events and recommend you take a look if you are ever in the Edinburgh area.

On to the tournament itself: Teams were comprised of 2 players, each with 1000 pts to spend on their army. Other than that, there were no restrictions. Armies could be bound, unbound or made up of formations, and Forgeworld units were allowed. The missions would be maelstrom, determined at each round by rolling in the book (the same mission for all games that turn). Each player would have their own warlord with warlord traits, but would need to choose a Supreme warlord for each game (who would give up Slay the Warlord when killed). Each player would also draw from their own maelstrom deck and could only score their own cards (e.g. you would only score Secure Objective 6 if your own units held it, not if your partner's units held the objective only). Impossible cards had to be kept and you could discard one card each turn.

With no restrictions in place other than the points limit, we did not know what to expect in all three games.

My army consisted of:
Combined Arms Detachment
Kor'sarro Khan- Moondakken (with CS)
Librarian- Mastery level 1, Bike, Meltabombs, Hunter's Eye (with CS or L)
5 Command Squad- 4 Grav guns, Apothecary, Storm Shield (CS)
5 Bikers- 2 Grav guns, sergeant has meltabombs (B1)
5 Bikers- 2 Grav guns, sergeant has meltabombs (B2)
5 Scouts- Bolt pistols, combat weapons, Sergeant has Meltabombs (S)
Landspeeder Storm- Cerberus launcher, Heavy bolter (LS)
Drop Pod- Storm Bolter (DP)
Stormtalon- TL assault cannons, Skyhammer missile launcher (ST)

Innes' 1000 points army consisted of:

Dominus Maniple
Tech Priest Dominus- Raiment of the Technomartyr, Volkite Blaster, Macrostubber, Conversion Field (TD)
5 Skitarri Vanguard- 2 Plasma Calivers, Omnispex, Vanguard Alpha with Red Carbine. (V)
2 Onager Dunecrawlers- Neutron Laser and Cognis Heavy Stubber, Cognis Manipulator (D)

Oathsworn Detachment
Mechanicum Cerastus Knight Atropos- Occular Augmetics. (K)

My army was designed to be very fast for grabbing maelstrom objectives, plus armed to the teeth with grav weaponry for taking on any tough units such as Wraithknights, Riptides, etc. The only change to the Mechanicus army was reducing the Vanguard squad from 10 to 5 (to utilise the drop pod) and the addition of another Dunecrawler. Innes' army had the hard hitters with the Imperial Knight (armed with D weapons) and the Dunecrawlers.

For the first game, our supreme warlord was Khan. My Librarian got Hallucination and Psychic Shriek for his powers. Innes' Dominus got to make one weapon master-crafted as his warlord trait.

Battle Report 40- 2000 pts White Scars/Mechanicus vs Tau

This week's battle report features a combined army of my White Scars and Innes' Mechanicus taking on Shaun's Tau (complete with Stormsurge!). Innes and I were practicing for an upcoming doubles tournament (the reports for which will be coming soon) and wanted to test our army against a tough force. Enter Shaun's Tau, who have been racking up a string of victories in the Medusa IV campaign.

We would be playing a maelstrom mission at 2000 pts, in what promised to be a hyper competitive game. Those with an aversion to cheese should look away now.

My 1000 points army consisted of:
Kor'sarro Khan- Moondakken (with CS)
Librarian- Mastery level 1, Bike, Meltabombs, Hunter's Eye (with CS or L)
5 Command Squad- 4 Grav guns, Apothecary, Storm Shield (CS)
5 Bikers- 2 Grav guns, sergeant has meltabombs (B1)
5 Bikers- 2 Grav guns, sergeant has meltabombs (B2)
5 Scouts- Bolt pistols, combat weapons, Sergeant has Meltabombs (S)
Landspeeder Storm- Cerberus launcher, Heavy bolter (LS)
Drop Pod- Storm Bolter (DP)
Stormtalon- TL assault cannons, Skyhammer missile launcher (ST)

Innes' 1000 points army consisted of:

Dominus Maniple
Tech Priest Dominus- Raiment of the Technomartyr, Volkite Blaster, Macrostubber, Conversion Field, Infoslave skull (TD)
10 Skitarri Vanguard- 3 Plasma Calivers, Omnispex, Vanguard Alpha with Arc Pistol and Arc Maul, Conversion Field and Radium. (V)
Onager Dunecrawler- Neutron Laser and Cognis Heavy Stubber, Cognis Manipulator (D)

Oathsworn Detachment
Mechanicum Cerastus Knight Atropos- Occular Augmetics. (K)

Khan was the warlord to give me Scout and the Librarian rolled on Telepathy, actually managing to get Invisibilty, along with Psychic Shriek.

My army was designed to be fast and hard hitting. Khan was there to provide Scout to the army, as well as a leadership buff thanks to his Warlord Trait. The Librarian was there to take the Hunter's Eye to give me some Ignores Cover shooting and the +1 BS should help out with the psychic shriek. He was also fortunate enough to get Invisibility.
