Over the Christmas period, I managed to get a good deal of my Deathwatch army painted up. I'm really surprised with how much progress I am making on the army in such a short time. I tend to go through periods like this, where I do a lot of painting at once, then go for months with nothing done.
First up, we have some Deathwatch Veterans with Shotguns. I really like the look of the Deathwatch Shotgun, and they have some decent firing modes to go with them. I will probably add these to some of my combat units, so that they can still shoot and assault.
Next up, we have three more Deathwatch Bikers. I have already completed a unit of 5 of Bikers so far, so this gives me the option to take another unit. I only have the head of the White Scars Biker left to finish. I hadn't taken all my paints home with me to Glasgow, so was unable to complete this with what I had. I will be getting this one completed fairly quickly.
I also took the opportunity to base up some of the Veterans that I had painted earlier. Again, I didn't take all my basing material with me, so these had to wait until I got home to do.
I am currently making very good progress with the Vanguard Veterans as well. The finished squad will be posted up at the weekend.

Looking good. What chapters do you have in your force?
ReplyDeleteCheers. Got some Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, White Scars, Blood Angels, Howling Griffons, Minotaurs, Iron Hands, Raven Guard, Space Wolves, Flesh Tearers, Black Templars, Dark Angels and Salamanders. The kits come with a huge number of shoulder pads for the different chapters, so you can get a great mix in the units.
DeleteAny duplicates? ;)
DeleteYep, plenty. Just been using the shoulder pads that come with the boxed set. They are much easier to paint than freehand and a lot better than transfers, which seem to fall off all the time!
DeleteLooking very nice, dude. Great progress.
ReplyDeleteCheers, I am very happy with how they are turning out.
