Hobby Update 15/10/18- Genestealer Cult Purestrain Genestealers

Today's Warhammer 40k hobby update features some more units for my Genestealer Cult army. This weekend, I was able to get more hobby work done on my Genestealer Cults army.

I painted up another 16 Purestrain Genestealers to add to the 16 already in the army. These were put on 32 mm bases, as opposed to the 25 mm ones they were supplied with. I think they just look better on the bigger bases.

They squad is now complete to add to my existing Cult army, to give me a lot more combat punch from my ambush results.

  1. Hey, these look badass!! I also like your idea with the bases! Can't wait to see you do some damage with a new codex in hand!

    1. Cheers Chris! I cannot wait for the new codex, hopefully it will be this year. Haven't played a game with them since the new FAQ, so will need to see how them perform having to wait till turn 2 to ambush.

  2. Excellent addition! They look great, I'll 32mm base mine when I get around to them, they are 2nd Edn Space Hulk ones with a few from the recent box set - Overkill i think?

    1. Yeah, the overkill ones were on 32 mm bases. They look a lot better for me, and are much better at balancing on the bigger bases.

    1. It's a classic for a reason! I don't know why, but I'm a big fan of doing the regular GW colour schemes for most of my units.

  4. Looking nice and gribbly there! The 32mm bases definitely work better for them than 25s did.

    1. Haha! They are epic. I really like the Genestealer Cult range. We've never really seen civilian or mining clothes and culture in the 40k range before.
