100 Posts!

Hi everyone, just wanted to celebrate an arbitrary milestone for the blog. This is my one hundredth post!
Having started on this blog 7 months ago, I am happy to have got this far and hope to continue with many more posts to come. As well as continuing with regular battle reports, I have two upcoming tournament that I hope to write about and I still have to showcase my Ork and Vampire Counts armies at some point (I just need to get around to taking them all out and photographing them).

Of course, this wouldn't mean anything if it wasn't for everyone who makes this such an enjoyable experience to do. Thanks to everyone who reads my ramblings each week on the blog, all those who take the time to post comments on my articles and thanks to everyone who lets me write up our battle reports and share them online.

If you want to keep up to date with the next 100 posts, you can use the followers box on the top right of the page to subscribe and get updates every time I write a new post.

  1. Congratulations! I remember those hazy days, and feeling (still do!) immensely grateful any time someone posted a comment up. Here's to the next 100!

    1. Thanks Nick! It's great to get feedback on the stuff you post and I'm surprised I've got this many posts so quickly. Thought I would be struggling for content after my initial introductions.

Just finished your new post on building your army. Very nice, I look forward to the rest of the series.

  2. Well done, arbitrary milestone cakes all round I think. I have to see I do see a lot more people who are committing to their blogs than I used to. You would come across more failed blogs than those that were consistent and actually flourishing, which is what I see here and with the likes of Nick and Rob Hills blogs [amongst others].

There's obviously a risk of burn out, and I've been there numerous times with my own alongside those times when the well runs dry and content is either hard to come by or just too laborious to record. However, celebrating what you've achieved so far is a definitely a 40kaddict approved mechanism for keeping momentum. Once you start looking at these milestones and the facts that underpin them it's quite an achievement. Good luck.

    1. Thanks Dave. Looking at most of the blogs I follow, they definitely seem to have the most posts in the first year, I guess the excitement and enthusiasm for starting it is highest then. I'm sure my rate will drop off as more commitments come up.

I am enjoying Nick and Rob's blogs too. Oddly enough, I think Rob and I both started our blogs at roughly the same time. It's been interesting to see how they have both been developing over time as we have different approaches. His conversion and painting skills are far superior to mine, while I tend to focus more on battle reports and have more terrain articles.

I just posted up my 100th post article too! Weird :D

Hope to catch up again with you at blog wars this year. My TWC are making a return as well

    1. Cheers NafNaf, that is a weird coincidence.

Yeah, I'll need to catch up with a few people at blog wars. Not sure how my Ravenwing would fare against the TWC? Might be a repeat of last year's "run away and shoot" tactic, I would just need to count on your charge rolling to be as equally poor as last time!
