Hobby Update 25/06/19- Dark Angels Redemptor Dreadnought

Today's hobby update features my Dark Angels Redemptor Dreadnought.

With most of the Genestealer Cult new purchases painted up, I decided to go back to my Dark Angels Primaris army. I had started on this model many months ago, but decided to finish off the Dreadnought this past weekend.

This is one of the "easy to build" Dreadnoughts, so is not armed with the optimal combination of weapons. The only thing I need to finish is adding the transfers to the model.

  1. This would look great with some heat staining on the cannon barrel, from tip Nuln Oil - Asurmen Blue - Purple - Sepia.

  2. Another fine addition to the forces of the Unforgiven! I agree with Siph on the heat staining.

  3. Nice work! Although I'm another vote for heat damage on that gun to break up the sheer size of the thing.

    1. I think that's a good shout to break up the sheer volume of the barrell.

  4. Nice clean paintjob, works well. I've found that it often helps with the gaps in the ETB kits if you trim down all the pegs just a little. The only one that's really noticeable here is on the back of the gun, tho, so it's not much of an issue.

    1. Cheers for the tip, I've noticed that with a few of them so far too.

  5. Lovely! May not be the best weapons combo, but you certainly can't argue with a flexible, tough, punchy pal on the battlefield.

    1. There is something iconic about the Dreadnought that makes them great to field, even if they are not the most effective.
