New Frontline Gaming Articles

With the release of the 8th edition codex, I have been able to start writing more in depth reviews of certain units for Frontline Gaming. I just wanted to highlight these to some of the readers, in case you had not seen them.

You can check out the Frontline Gaming tab to get a list of my articles over there. Please check them out and comment on them if you feel like it (the more they get read and commented on, the better for me, as they'll want me to write more!). This gives me a chance to go into more detail than I did for my initial reviews, as well as to add some insight from actually playing games with the units.

  1. Are you enjoying 8th? I dislike it strongly and have gone back to 7th.

    1. Really? I've been loving 8th edition. Even though my Deathwatch have not been doing so well, I still like the changes to the game.

    2. I like some of the changes, having an M characteristic I've argued for for years. Also simpler enbarking and disembarking, degrading wounded MCs.

I really miss facings, the vehicle damage table, templates, scatter on deepstrike and templates, Initiative, actual cover, arcs and line of sight from weapons etc etc etc. I could go on.

All these changes make the game less fun, cinematic and immersive for me.

  2. When are we going to see more 'Tongue in Cheek' Codex reviews? 8th is bedding in and I am looking forward to Codex Alpha Strike - Maximum Salty Edition!

    1. I'll have to have a think about some more Army Review articles. I've not had an angle jump out at me yet for one, so will need to do some brainstorming!
