It's in the Raven Guard part of the book, but other than the Detachment, all the Formations can be taken by any Codex Chapter. Auto-arrival on Turn 2, and the Speeder can mark targets for the Talons, essentially granting them Shred and Tank Hunter against the marked Unit.

Skitarii do have some options for speed, but they're hard to work in well at this Points level. One way or another, he'd have to ditch the Dominus, and probably the Dunecrawlers as well, to fit in some Sicarians or Ironstriders. I've been saying this for ages, but have not had a chance yet thanks to my campaign games forcing me to use my Guard or other armies. Perhaps I should review them so I can see their awesomeness.

Chris- I really do think that doing the battle reports and reviews of my army have improved my game. It's good to have a note written somewhere detailing what works with your army and what needs improvement. I really like this rule for bike armies and especially in maelstrom games.
The problem with the formations is that I can only take a Captain or Khan and I cannot arm Khan with the Hunter's Eye. I could take a Chaplain with it (borrowing from my Ravenwing) again, but thought the Librarian with Psychic Shriek would be more useful. No rolling for reserves and re-rolls against any target you like whilst the speeder is alive is so good for them.Triple Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002702481127525157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2668255476316917252.post-43931808686927783852016-02-16T13:26:57.561+00:002016-02-16T13:26:57.561+00:00Thanks for the comprehensive review here, and all ...Thanks for the comprehensive review here, and all of the batreps that I really enjoyed! I think doing that after a tourney is an important part of becoming a better player. Which reminds me to invest more time into that as well.

I really liked your list, and will keep on following it as it evolves. I agree with Nick that you could probably tweak a thing here and there when you sift through the new formations. Look at the Raven Guard ones, too - the Shadowstrike Killteam and the Raptor Wing are pretty cool imo.

Keep it up!
Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08199583732490727488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2668255476316917252.post-86315515789910811762016-02-16T12:35:36.723+00:002016-02-16T12:35:36.723+00:00It's a really nice looking list. I think the biggest issue you've got there is with formations - obviously you need to take a CAD to just get in a single stormtalon, and that librarian, so in your place I'd be thinking about whether those two units benefit you enough to justify leaving out the scarblade detachment and hunting force, which would provide massive benefits to the rest of your list (re-rolling to hit and to wound against up to three priority targets with the hunters eye would be huge, and wouldn't need you to get prescience either).

I've got a post going up on my blog tonight on how I'm reorganising my marines to go 'full bike' using the white scars formations.Triple Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002702481127525157noreply@blogger.com
